Courage- Henry's courage really comes to him late in the book. Courage is being brave and having no fear. Courage is key in war.

Disregard for Human Life- Everyone that fights has a disregard for human life how do you just go out and kill people?

Noise and Silence- Neither of them are very safe when it is silence then you don't know if they are creeping up on you. When there is noise there is shooting and fighting.
Light and Dark- In both light and dark it is not safe.
Clean and Dirty- Their faces are clean befor they fight and then they are dirty and covered with bood and dirt.
Youth and Maturity- To see how everyone grows up throught the movie.
