Chapter 7

Gatsby and Nick go over to Tom and Daisy's for lunch. When they get there Tom says something about Daisy and Gatsby. He gets mad at Gatsby and Daisy says that she wants to go to the city so that they can get away from the arguing. Tom and Gatsby switch cars I don't know why. They had to stop for gas at Wilson's shop. They see Myrtle upstairs looking out of a window. They get to town and get a hotel room to figure stuff out and get cleaned up. While they are there Tom and Gatsby start to fight again and Gatsby leaves with Daisy in his car. So Tom, Nick, and Jordan followed them home. On the way home Myrtle and her husband were fighting and when she saw Gatsby she ran across the road because she thought it was Tom because it was his car. She was hit by the car and killed instantly. Tom was on the sence soon and saw it was Myrtle that was hit. Tom went and talked to Wilson and then they left. He was furious that she was dead even more mad that they didn't stop. When they got back to Tom's place they called Nick a cab to his house. When he was leaving he saw Gatsby in the bushes making sure that everything was ok with Daisy. Gatsby told Nick what happened with them hitting Mrytle. Why would they not stop?
