Characters

Henry Fleming- Main character in the story. He becomes one of the best fighters in the war. Really grows throughout the book.

Jim Conklin- The tall soldier he was well known by the whole regiment and he got wounded and he died.

Wilson- The loud private really confident in his fighting abilty. He starts off not being that great but he alson grows a lot during the book.

Tattered Soldier- He was very wounded and he was talking to Henry and really showed him that he need to have some courage. I think that he played a bigger part in the book the people think he did.

Lieutenant- He takes care of Henry when he gets hit in the head. Made Henry feel good about his work and built his confidence up.

Henry's Mother- Was very worried about him going to war and tried to talk Henry out of it. She is very hard working.
